Suede + Smoke Staycation
Who loves a fun & relaxing bestie staycation?! We do!! There isn’t anything better than escaping the chaos and stress of life with your favorite people and relaxing somewhere close. So, as our launch date was quickly approaching, Randi, Hailey and I decided to do just that - escape to the mountains for a little R&R. The 3 of us live in small mountain towns just outside of Park City, UT and this time of year our beautiful mountains are showing off with the most vivid and breathtaking fall colors. So we packed our bags (+ our husbands) and headed for Deer Valley, Utah.
Not only was this a staycation with my ride or dies but it was a Suede + Smoke retreat. How can you not be inspired when surrounded by the changing leaves, vast mountains and the beautiful architecture Park City homes have to offer? We wanted to unwind, plan future events and collections, and create new content for you. The home we were staying in for the weekend was an interior designer’s dream. Each room contained unique design elements and were bright + colorful. We decided to take advantage of the beautiful space and do a mini photoshoot to showcase some of our pieces from the fall collection. The living room was 70’s chic and was the perfect aesthetic to showcase our Soul Sister Set, Zion Dress, Traveler Blazer, Paint the Town Blouse. and Cotton Candy Pink Always on My Mind top. Then just a quick step out onto the back deck and we were immersed in the cozy mountain forest - the perfect backdrop for our Sundance Sweater, Mocha Morning Top and Charlotte.
Planning our debut collection and searching for the best fall fashion pieces had definitely put us in the spooky mood so we decided to have a little early Halloween fun that totally involved matching skeleton pajamas. In true best friend style, we spent our first evening donning matching pjs, cozying up by the fire with a custom autumn charcuterie, glass of red wine and laughing together with our hubbies. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a Friday night. Saturday, after a little Suede + Smoke work, some shopping & lunch, we dressed up for a night out on the town. We met up with more of our besties at Blind Dog restaurant in Park City for a night of sushi and memories to last a lifetime.
We wanted to share this experience with you to remind all of you boss babes to take some time to unwind. Sometimes a little escape is just what you need to feel inspired, alive and fulfilled to go back to the world and chase your dreams. Adding your best friends to the mix and stepping out in your favorite Suede + Smoke outfit is just the icing on the cake.
